“Be Brave in the Scared” has become my motto in the last decade or so. If you have ever heard me speak or listened to one of my workshops than this saying is quite familiar to you.
To “Be brave in the scared” is to stand in the face of fear or discouragement and boldly take one step out in faith, knowing that whatever your facing will be challenging, but also knowing that with God anything is possible. He will work ALL things for your good.
The arrows represent the fact that Courtney pointed us to God every single day of her life. She showed us what it meant to truly love another without conditions, She was the bravest person I have ever known. She loved boldly and with all she had and she never spoke a word.
There are four arrows representing Jerry, Jonathan, Courtney and myself. Hers is bigger than anyone else’s because she lived the biggest and boldest life she could.
Courtney’s arrow is yellow because she was our sunshine. She was the bright star that lead us all to Jesus. We would not be who we are today without her example, and love.
We are working with Catholicthreads on this project and we are so honored to do so. Part of the proceeds will go to alleviating the personal debt that remains from Courtney’s daily care the last three years of her life. She has been home with God now for three years. We have worked out butts off to pay that debt down and we appreciate your love and support in helping us do that.
