whoops…

17 Dec

How I love computers.

Ummmm…not so much…

This morning I was working on the post to be put up when Courtney passed away, trying to take the time to make sure I said what I needed to.

It accidentally posted.

ARE.YOU.KIDDING.ME.

Of course this kind of thing would happen to me!!! Sweet Molly!! Give to me very large break, oh great big universe!!

I crashed the internet for 30 seconds.

Courtney is still with us fighting hard. As of 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 our daughter is still alive. She is calm and happy, but very, very weak. I told her what happened and she smiled as if to say “Not gone yet Mama. Still got some work to do”.

We continue to wait and hope for a peaceful passing. God’s will be done.

Continued thoughts and prayers! Your sense of (cyber) humor in the middle of this storm makes me smile, yet my heart breaks that your sweet family and Courtney are going through so much. God's will be done!

Dear Mary, I've been following your blog now for a while, but today for the first time I took time to read your story. It took me all day, and my dishes are still dirty in the sink tonight, but I couldn't put it down. I laughed, I cried and sat on the edge of my seat holding my breath waiting to find out what happened next. You have quite an amazing story, and your father was right. You had plenty to say, to share, and you said it better than anyone could have. God's given you another gift, and I'll pray it gets used for His will. God bless you all and kisses to Courtney. Love Christine

    Good morning again Mary 🙂
Still praying, and my kids have been praying for Courtney at school in their prayer circles during class too. Love from the far north in Edmonton Alberta. Christine

Well that explains not being able to view it… my comment still is good though, in my heart, for your family, you and Courtney. May God be with you and surround you…

I just came to your blog from A Knotted Life. This is the first time I have seen it. And you are losing your daughter. How my heart goes out to you.

I know what it is to watch and wait and pray with someone you love who is dying. Even when you know their time is near, even though you accept they will soon go, it is a ripping, tearing at the heart to know soon, soon, they will go, and you will not have them nearby anymore, to feel their warmth, to hear their laugh, to see their smile, to offer a touch of comfort, to hold them close for a moment. The pain of knowing they will go is not eased once they are gone.

I pray God will fill you with consolation and peace once your girl is gone to Him who loves her so. God bless you. I will pray for you, for her, and for all your family. Who can know the pain of a mother's heart so broken? Only He who loves us beyond all understanding.

Typically our tree would be covered in multi-colored lights but this year, we went all white. I love it. .

How about you? Team Colored lights? Or Team White lights? Let me know in the comments. .

Instagram post 2189521883971719485_19538962 Advent, a time of preparation as we wait for the Infant Jesus to come, bringing with Him our Hope and Salvation. .
.
Advent also brings with it a powerhouse of emotions in our home. Grief, joy, anticipation and dread as we walk toward December 27, the day our sweet Courtney went home to Heaven. .
.
Joy and Sorrow go hand in hand in this life my friends and as we walk toward the fifth anniversary of Courtney’s death, we would like to offer our grief and suffering for you and those you love. .
.
So beginning today, through this season of Advent and Christmastide, our family would love to intercede for you, also asking our beautiful saint to intercede for you as well, bringing your needs before the Lord in this time of waiting. .
.
We will write down every prayer request received between now and Epiphany, placing it Courtney’s Stocking, praying for those intentions each day. On the Feast of the Epiphany, we will burn those prayers collected, allowing the smoke to rise to Heaven like incense. .
.
This is our way of reclaiming this season that was once devastatingly hard to walk, offering joy and praise to the ONE who gave us the gift of our daughter Courtney to begin with🎄❤️
.
.
Today begins Operation Courtney’s Prayer Stocking. You can DM me, email me at lenaburgmary@gmail.com or write them below this photo. PLEASE pass this along to anyone you know could use the prayer assist. ALL prayers requests are welcome friends. .
.
Time to put our girl to work interceding for ALL. I know she’s ready and waiting...

Filled with hand me downs, yard sale finds, Goodwill treasures and even a few new pieces. The walls covered with photographs with so many stories to tell. It’s a place where many memories have been made, some good and some not so good, but either way, they belong to us as a family. .
.
Hospitality in my home is not about making it Pinterest Perfect, it’s about keeping the door open and a seat at the table for who ever needs a safe place to land. It’s a place of warmth and welcome, a place of faith and fun, a place where the weary are always welcome. .

Home is wherever we are together 💛

So happy to be home again. Now to make it all purty for Christmas. Santa’s Bootcamp is underway. 🎅🏻🤶🏼 🎄

Instagram post 2188160468216390508_19538962 I have been on quite the journey when it comes to my skincare. I have had rosacea my entire life but it was post-baby when things really got out of hand. .
I have tried every ointment, lotion, and dermatological procedure, including lasers, to try and lesson and even get rid of my red chin, cheeks and the painful cysts that go with them. I have used EVERY makeup brand, from drug store to high end, trying to find anything that would help. .
Not much has helped, until now. .
About 18 mos ago I started to see @beautycounter ads pop up on my social media feeds. Several people I know became consultants and I began to experiment with the different skincare products. .
I fell in love with the @beautycounter cleansing balm, charcoal mask, the Countermatch Intense Moisture Serum as well as the lip conditioner with calendula. .
Over time the redness lessened and the rosacea cysts went away. My skin no longer felt like burning sand paper but is now actually soft to the touch. .
As I began my book tour back in May, which included an intense fall speaking schedule, I started wearing makeup everyday. I tried the @beautycounter makeup line and was thrilled with its coverage and wearability as well as the ease with which I could remove it without irritation. So important for sensitive skin. I was very happy with the results. .
.
So happy that last week, I made the decision to become a consultant for @beautycounter!! I know...insane right? But I really do believe in the product, the company that makes it and their message of clean beauty. .
I know you have so many options when it comes to purchasing your personal care items my friends and I do appreciate your encouragement and support with this new venture of mine. .
I am happy to answer any questions you may have or assist you in any way to take advantage of the BEST SALE of the year (15% off site wide with free shipping for any order over $50 through Dec. 1... DM me or use the link in my bio to shop directly. .
