These lovely squares taste like a delightful slice of pecan pie. Pecan and honey drizzled over a shortbread crust. Oh yes…life is good!

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed

2 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring or vanilla extract
Line a 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan with parchment paper, letting ends
