“A Stitch in Time“
After my husband and I became engaged, my mother-in-law asked what I would like for a wedding gift. I did not hesitate and had only one request, a quilt. Eleanor is a fabulous seamstress, who was taught by her mother, Granny Lena, to sew, crochet, make lace and to quilt when she was a young woman in Taloga, Oklahoma. They made everything, including undergarments. Eleanor did not wear a store-bought dress until she was a teenager.
